Job Summary

Registered Polysomnographic Technologist performs in-center polysomnography and home sleep apnea testing, guides patient intake and education, applies sensors according to AASM standards, monitors patients during testing, scores and annotates studies for provider interpretation, and contributes to onboarding and ongoing staff training in a sleep-lab setting.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of A-STEP educational modules administered through the AASM
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • National sleep credential: RST (Registered Sleep Technologist) or RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) or SDS (Sleep Disorders Specialist) or CPSGT (Certified Polysomnographic Technician)
