Job Summary
Perform physiotherapy assessments and create treatment plans with clear, measurable goals for retirement home care residents. Provide clinical treatments to improve and maintain mobility and overall health while educating residents and families on health care management. Ensure proper documentation of treatments and progress reports. Communicate with the multi-disciplinary team and supervise Physiotherapy Assistants, students, and interns to implement rehabilitation programs. Work 19 hours per week. Must be registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and hold professional license insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Must have Professional License Insurance
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills while interacting with residents or their families
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector is required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a Retirement home would be a definite asset
- ADP authorization is considered an asset
