Job Summary
Assess and implement treatment plans based on patient diagnosis, status, and the Physical Therapy Code of Ethics. Complete documentation including initial evaluations, daily flow sheets, weekly progress notes, discharge summaries, and equipment justification letters on a timely basis. Delegate duties to physical therapy assistants, organize full treatment caseloads, and attend rehabilitation, treating, and family team conferences. Provide or enhance education for staff, patients, and families through continuing courses and literature reviews. Adhere to hospital policies, safety regulations, and demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and compassion in all interactions. Maintain workplace cleanliness, orderliness, and appropriate attire while reflecting a positive community image. Requires a B.S. or M.S. in physical therapy, current Massachusetts licensure, and BLS certification. Full-time inpatient role at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital with comprehensive benefits including 401(k), health insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science /master's of science degree in physical therapy from an APTA accredited college or university
- Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professionals, Commonwealth of Massachusetts or application for the same
- Certification in BLS of Adult, Child and Infant
- Knowledge, experience, and competency in dealing with adult rehabilitation and geriatric age group
- Knowledge of growth and development across the life span
- In person
Desired Qualifications
- APTA in Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire chapter of APTA membership preferred
- Demonstrated pursuit on continuing education courses relative to the field of physical therapy
