Job Summary
Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting patrons, answering phones, and escorting customers to products while treating them as the most important people. Fill and/or verify prescriptions and counsel patients according to OBRA '90 regulations, including administering immunizations if qualified. Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering, stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and performing annual controlled substance counts, while ensuring accurate reconciliation of third-party accounts. Visit schools, doctors' offices, and senior centers to market services and build growth through wellness programs. Assume responsibility for the department in the manager's absence, follow security and regulatory procedures, and maintain confidentiality of medical information under HIPAA.
Required Qualifications
- College degree and licensure in pharmacy
- Continuing education to maintain license
- Six months to a year of similar or related work experience
- Must be able to physically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
- Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
- Depth perception
