Job Summary
Provide direct rehabilitation in occupational therapy to patients per physician referral, following Life Care standards and applicable laws. Responsibilities include following occupational treatment plans, establishing and adjusting functional goals, supervising OTAs and Rehab Aides, timely charting, using therapy software, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, communicate with patients and families, participate in community health initiatives as appropriate, and ensure safety, integrity, and professionalism consistent with Life Care’s Code of Conduct. Must demonstrate good body mechanics, good judgment, and reliable attendance. CPR certification must remain current. Essential functions include evaluating care, documenting activities of daily living, and contributing to patient rights and safety. Language proficiency in English required.
Required Qualifications
- NBCOT certification upon hire
- Graduate of an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT)
- Active state license in good standing
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation
