Job Summary
Conduct direct occupational therapy care for patients upon physician referral, establishing, assessing, and modifying realistic goals for activities of daily living. Oversee and evaluate care provided by OTAs, rehab aides, and students while charting appropriately and utilizing therapy software accurately. Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to plan needs, participate in community health projects, and assist in patient evacuations. Maintain confidentiality, adhere to company policies, and function productively on an interdisciplinary team. Requires NBCOT certification, active state licensure, and CPR certification. Full-time positions offer $42 to $52; PRN rates range from $50 to $55.
Required Qualifications
- NBCOT certified upon hire
- Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- Active license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
- Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
