Job Summary
Conduct direct rehab care in occupational therapy for patients based on physician referrals, establishing and modifying realistic, measurable goals while following treatment plans for activities of daily living. Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to plan care, oversee and evaluate work by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students, and chart appropriately using therapy software. Demonstrate good judgment in independent decision-making, assist in patient evacuation, and maintain confidentiality and professional relationships with vendors and associates. Perform physical duties including sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during working hours. Maintain CPR certification and adhere to Life Care standards, compliance training, and the Code of Conduct.
Required Qualifications
- NBCOT certified upon hire
- Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- Active license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
- Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
