Job Summary
Develop and implement occupational treatment plans for patients, establishing and modifying realistic, measurable goals to improve functional progress. Assess patient needs and oversee care provided by OTAs, rehab aides, and students while charting appropriately and utilizing therapy software. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing and medical staff, to deliver collaborative care in Skilled Nursing Facilities and assist in patient evacuation. Liaise with patients and families to plan for needs, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to all laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Demonstrate good judgment, body mechanics, and excellent customer service in a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Required Qualifications
- NBCOT certified upon hire
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
- Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
- Must be able to chart appropriately and timely
- Must be able to utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
Desired Qualifications
