Registered Occupational Therapist (Georgetown)

Job Summary
Conduct OT/ADP assessments for residents per College standards, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress notes in the facility's health record system. Complete feeding assessments, falls prevention evaluations, and Least Restraints reviews including bed rail assessments. Collaborate with Physiotherapist and Nursing staff on wound management, positioning, lifting, and transferring. Work with the multi-disciplinary team to recommend interventions such as Restorative Care, Pain Management, and Contingence Management while ensuring best practices are followed. This temporary Long Term Care role in Georgetown, Ontario runs from June 24 to September 24, 2024, with a schedule of 6 hours weekly or 12 hours biweekly.
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario
- Must have ADP Authorizer
- Must have Professional License Insurance
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills while interacting with residents or their families
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector
