Job Summary
Provide direct patient care, administer medications, and perform patient assessments within a secure federal correctional facility. Monitor vital signs, support triage, and execute IV starts and venipuncture while maintaining clinical documentation. Respond to emergencies and mental health support needs, ensuring infection control and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Schedule includes day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts in 8.5- or 12.5-hour formats. Bilingual Spanish-speaking nurses are highly encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Current BLS Certification
- Minimum clinical nursing experience
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work within a secure institutional healthcare environment
- Professionalism, reliability, and flexibility
- Day shifts
