Registered Nurse - YNHH

Registered Nurse on a Nursing Unit with supervision from the Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator. Oversees patient care from assessment through discharge, develops and documents care plans with the patient and family, coordinates with the healthcare team, and may serve as Preceptor and Charge Nurse. Demonstrates competency in neuro-focused care (neuro assessment, airway management for neuro patients, suctioning, care of trached patients) and in units such as Cardiothoracic ICU and Cardiac ICU. Provides education, supports performance expectations, and participates in continuous improvement of patient care. BSN preferred with current Connecticut RN licensure; BCLS required within one month of hire; complex care practices for patients including those with hip repairs and ECMO/VAD considerations are emphasized.
