Job Summary
Registered Nurse on specialized units including Neuro and Cardiac ICU (CTICU/WP3) with responsibilities spanning assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of patient care. Role includes supervising non-RN staff, serving as Charge Nurse, and precepting new staff. Demonstrates competency in neuro care (neuro assessment, airway management, tracheostomy care, suctioning) and in caring for patients requiring advanced therapies (ECMO/ LVAD considerations, ventilator support). Utilizes and updates individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team, educates patients and families, and ensures high-quality care across critical care settings. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program; CT licensure; and BSN preferred. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred or equivalent
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
- Complexity and clinical advancement program participation optional
