Job Summary
Provides patient-centered nursing care on Neuro and Cardiothoracic ICU units, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge planning. Supervises non-RN personnel, serves as Charge Nurse, and acts as a preceptor. Requires CT RN licensure; BSN preferred. Responsibilities include neuro-focused care (neuro assessment, airway management, care of trached patients, ventilator management, and Halo brace) and cardiac ICU responsibilities, with advanced skills in ICU equipment and post-operative/Cardiac surgery care. Emphasizes education, teamwork, and adherence to unit policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- BSN preferred.
