Job Summary
Assess and document patients' wounds, apply dressings to promote healing, and provide comprehensive care for inpatient, outpatient, and hyperbaric treatment cases. Educate patients and families on wound care techniques, ostomy management, and continence issues while tracking healing progress and modifying care plans as needed. Implement infection control measures, support post-discharge follow-up, and consult on pressure injuries during hospital stays. Maintain current BLS certification and pursue WOC board certification within the first year. Located at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
Required Qualifications
- current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the state
- BLS upon hire and maintain current
Desired Qualifications
- experience in Wound Care, ICU, ER, Critical Care, Telemetry or Advanced Med Surg
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience
- Previous Wound care knowledge and or experience (1 Year)
- Wound Care Certification within first year of hire
- Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) or (WCC) Board Certification
