Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, including physical, social, and psychological status reviews and interdisciplinary coordination. Direct the care team through delegation and collaboration while managing time, supplies, and resources to coordinate patient delivery. Provide accurate and timely documentation, revise care plans based on clinical outcomes, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards. Maintain BLS certification and adhere to state licensure requirements, including transferring compact licenses within 60 days. Requires a current Registered Nurse license with a BSN obtained from an accredited institution, plus manual dexterity for equipment manipulation and ability to lift and transfer patients. Located at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana, with 40 weekly hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
  • Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
  • Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
  • Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Ability to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles

Desired Qualifications

  • RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
