Job Summary
Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC. Responsibilities include accurate patient assessments, initiating nursing interventions, providing age-appropriate care, timely documentation of medical necessity, and maintaining the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. The role supports a family-centered, patient-safety environment with 5 L&D rooms, an OR suite on unit, NICU beds, and ~350-400 deliveries per year. Requires active NC (or compact state) RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications within specified timeframes, plus an ADN (BSN preferred) and at least 2 years of L&D experience. Required Qualifications
- Current North Carolina state or compact state RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- ACLS within 90 days of hire
- NRP Advanced certification within 90 days of hire
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification within 90 days of hire
- Associate's degree in nursing is required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
