Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive medical care to women and support people through gynecological screenings, counseling on birth control, and abortion care protocols including Mifepristone dispensing and ultrasound assistance. Perform health checks such as pap smears and pelvic exams while assisting physicians in medical abortion visits and post-abortion follow-ups. Maintain proficiency in charting, documentation, and risk management under the guidance of supervising staff. Ensure patient and staff safety by adhering to OSHA regulations, emergency supply protocols, and sedative response training. Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance in a collaborative clinic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state the position is located
- 2+ years' nursing experience as a licensed RN and/or LPN
- 1+ years' experience as a Women's Health Nurse, Family Practice Nurse, or relevant Women's Health specialty
- Certification in Basic Life Support
- Ability to perform job duties on-site
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs as needed
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance during scheduled work hours
- Uphold safety and confidentiality standards in all work areas
- Engage respectfully and compassionately with patients, visitors, and team members
- Adapt to a dynamic environment while maintaining professionalism and composure
- Willingness to use new technologies or communication tools to support workflow and collaboration
- Training in the recognition of the cardiovascular and respiratory effects of sedatives, as well as the variability of patient response, annually
- Training in/knowledge of emergency supplies, their inventory, their location in the office, and their use
- Training in/knowledge of the pharmacology of the medications administered
- Training in/knowledge of OSHA regulations, PPE, and occupational exposure protocols, annually
