Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients by synthesizing data to optimize outcomes based on ANA Scope and Standards. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to resolve patient needs, while coordinating education to facilitate effective care transitions. Utilize evidence-based practice and technology to support unit goals, and lead by teaching, mentoring new colleagues, and delegating based on team skills and patient acuity. Maintain clinical competency and a safe work environment in accordance with facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
