Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients while synthesizing data to optimize outcomes based on ANA standards. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to resolve patient needs, utilizing evidence-based practice to maintain quality and safety. Coordinate patient and family education throughout the treatment course and function as a department team member supporting unit goals. Mentor new colleagues and interns, delegate tasks based on skills and acuity, and participate in performance improvement processes. Perform validated technical skills and utilize technology to optimize care delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
