Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility policies. Direct and manage the care of designated patients while synthesizing data to optimize outcomes based on ANA standards. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to proactively resolve patient needs and coordinate family education throughout the treatment course. Demonstrate leadership by teaching, mentoring new colleagues, and delegating tasks based on team member skills and patient acuity. Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence-based practice projects to support unit and hospital goals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
