Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients by synthesizing data to optimize outcomes based on ANA Scope and Standards. Direct patient care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, and outcomes identification while utilizing effective communication with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and family members. Coordinate patient and family education throughout the treatment course and facilitate transitions of care. Perform validated technical skills, utilize technology to optimize care delivery, and demonstrate leadership by teaching, mentoring new colleagues, and delegating based on team member skills and patient acuity. Maintain a safe work environment and participate in performance improvement processes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
