Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients while synthesizing data to optimize outcomes based on ANA standards. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to resolve patient needs and coordinate family education throughout the treatment course. Utilize evidence-based practice to maintain quality and safety, performing validated technical skills and leveraging technology to optimize care delivery. Lead by teaching and mentoring new colleagues, delegating tasks based on team member skills and patient acuity, and providing input for performance appraisals. Maintain clinical competency and support unit goals through participation in performance improvement processes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
