Job Summary
Conduct weekly patient visits and manage after-hours or weekend phone calls to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate total nursing care according to physician orders. Accept work-related calls without voicemail unless assisting a patient or family member. Requires a state-licensed Registered Nurse with hospice or home health experience. Schedule includes weekends and after-hours availability. Caris Healthcare provides compassionate hospice care across the Southeast region.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation
- Nursing experience
- Sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures and elements of patient family teaching
- Availability for work-related phone calls throughout scheduled after hours and/or weekend work hours
- Ability to accept work-related phone calls without allowing them to go to voice mail
