Registered Nurse - Visit/Resource Nurse - Community Hospice

Job Summary
Provide skilled nursing care and patient education to individuals and families in home and community hospice settings, focusing on palliative needs and physical/emotional support. Deliver comprehensive care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to help patients remain in their chosen environments. Commit to full-time hours during the initial 6-8-week orientation period, followed by a minimum of 20 monthly hours with weekend and overnight availability. Requires current Vermont RN licensure, an associate's degree or higher, and relevant hospice or home health experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in nursing or higher
- Current RN licensure recognized by the State of Vermont
- Appropriate experience in specific clinical area
- Minimum of one or more years of directly related home or community hospice nursing experience
- Two or more years of related home or public health nursing experience
- Three or more years of general nursing experience, including at least one year of directly related home/public health or hospice nursing experience
- Commit to full time hours for the first 6-8 weeks
- Minimum commitment of 20 hours a month
- Availability on weekends and overnights
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in hospice and palliative care
