Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in the Vascular Center: Wound/Thrombophilia at Mayo Clinic. Coordinates nursing care, provides direct patient care, and educates patients and families while supporting transitions of care. Plays leadership roles (preceptor, committee involvement, quality improvement) and mentors teammates; may participate in projects. Role may require driving a personal vehicle. New graduates may apply through Nurse Residency; program details help align interests with appropriate work units and specialties. Requires RN licensure, BLS, and ability to obtain any additional state licensure/certifications as required. TN sponsorship available; candidate should be prepared to meet licensure and VisaScreen-equivalent certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program (ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA acceptable)
- Current RN license by applicable state requirements
- BLS certification (valid for 90 days post start)
- One year of RN experience
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Excellent communication skills; teamwork and leadership ability
- Computer skills; experience with electronic medical record systems
- Additional state licensure and/or specialty certification as required by the work area
