Job Summary
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and administer medications per physician orders. Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes while monitoring patient conditions to report significant changes promptly. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, delegate tasks to support staff, and educate patients on treatment plans and discharge instructions. Maintain infection prevention standards, ensure quality care through supervision, and demonstrate critical thinking in all situations. Maintain flexibility with patient assignments and float between units as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum 6 months of recent RN experience.
- Current BLS/CPR Certification.
- Negative TB test.
- Successful background check.
- Annual physical examination.
- Compliance with facility COVID-19 vaccination and screening requirements.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Flexibility to float between units as needed.
- Maintain current RN licensure and required certifications.
- Comply with all CMS, state, facility, and Department of Health regulations.
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality policies.
- Meet all facility onboarding and credentialing requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS preferred where applicable.
