Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Urology provides nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) for patients, coordinating care, performing patient assessments and triage, delivering patient education, and collaborating with inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Practices within the Nurse Practice Act and standards of nursing practice, upholding ethical principles and state licensure requirements; supports ongoing professional development and adherence to accrediting standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state
- Obtains and maintains required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications
