Job Summary
Assess patient health problems and needs in the clinic setting, develop nursing care plans, and administer medications while monitoring for reactions. Document all communications, lab results, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record, and communicate physician directives to patients. Coordinate with the healthcare team to evaluate care plans, prepare sterile instruments and supplies, and instruct individuals on health education and disease prevention. Monitor and report changes in patient conditions, maintain HIPAA compliance, and adhere to the Solaris Health Code of Conduct. Requires an RN license, BLS certification, and 1-2 years of clinical experience with urology preferred.
Required Qualifications
- RN license and certification required by state
- BLS certification required
- 1-2 years previous clinical experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
- Ability to handle stressful and constantly changing conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable and proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Suite and EMR applications
- Takes responsibility for own actions and is forthright about errors or uncertainty
- Ability to build relationships with patients and display empathy and compassion to patients
- Complies with all health and safety policies of the organization
- Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
