Job Summary
Registered Nurse on a Cardiac ICU/Neuro/critical care unit with responsibilities including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care; supervision of non-RN personnel; serving as charge nurse; education for patients and families; and collaboration with healthcare teams. Requires CT RN license, BSN preferred, and BCLS certification within one month of hire. The role emphasizes advanced cardiac/neuro care, airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and adherence to unit policies. Locations: Bridgeport, CT, US.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current CT RN license
- BCLS certification (or within 1 month of hire)
- Ability to function as preceptor and charge nurse
- Competency in neuro assessment and care of neuro patients
- Experience in ICU/CCU settings preferred
