Job Summary
Conduct patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while directing and coordinating nursing care based on clinical standards. Collaborate with professional disciplines to ensure effective patient outcomes and deliver family-centered care considering developmental age and cultural diversity. Utilize performance improvement techniques to demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Requires Texas licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications upon hire, with additional unit-specific credentials obtained within 6 to 18 months. Full-time positions require no prior experience; other statuses require one year. Associate Degree in Nursing required.
Required Qualifications
- Full Time – None Required.
- Part-time, PRN, Contract, and Travelers – at least one year of experience required.
- Float Pool, Transport, Nurse Imaging, and Multispecialty Center (regardless of work status) – at least one year of experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas or Compact Licensure.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
- Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
- Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
