Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including Level 1 trauma designation, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Prioritize patient wellness and safety while modeling proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff. Contribute to exceptional outcomes through a multidisciplinary team approach and support individualized specialty education for competency validation. Maintain current BLS certification and pursue ACLS, NIHSS, ENPC, PALS, TNCC, or ATCN certifications as required within specified timelines. Work full-time, 72 hours per pay period, onsite at UCHealth UCHth Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS or CPR card good through sixty days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- ACLS certification at time of hire or within 6 months of hire
- NIHSS certification within 6 months
- ENPC or PALS certification within 6 months of hire
- TNCC or ATCN certification within 1 year of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
