Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) utilizing the nursing process, AACN Synergy Model, and evidence-based care standards. Prioritize a multidisciplinary team approach, patient wellness, and safety while modeling proficiency through precepting new healthcare staff. Maintain ACLS certification and ensure BLS/CPR cards are current for sixty days post-hire. This onsite role at UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion in Aurora, CO, requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program with six months of ICU or PCU experience. Schedule includes day and night rotations with PRN status.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of ICU or PCU nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- ACLS
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- This position is an onsite role
- Must be available for Day and Night Rotation
- PRN schedule
