Job Summary
Triage patient healthcare needs via telephone, making decisions on specific concerns and findings while following established protocols. Update and maintain patient medical records, then interface with multidisciplinary team members to provide optimum care. Utilize the Nursing Process and evidence-based knowledge to deliver comprehensive care to a designated population, monitoring clinic schedules and patient activities. Contribute to staff recruitment and retention through positive role-modeling, precepting medical students, and identifying quality improvement initiatives. Adhere to Nurse Practice Acts, compliance regulations, and organizational policies while participating in continuing education and community outreach.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited NLN/CCNE institution
- Registered Nurse (RN) State and/or compact state licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated ability to delegate, problem-solve and make decisions regarding specific concerns
- Must have demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care to all age groups
- Must be able to make good professional decisions quickly despite stressful atmosphere
- Ability to handle stressful and constantly changing conditions
- Ability to work independently and reliably
- Ability to speak English
- Current Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or must pass fingerprint clearance within 7 days following hire
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak Spanish
- 5+ years of outpatient experience
