Job Summary
Provide direct, specialized care to traumatically injured patients and those undergoing complex surgeries in a 28-bed critical care unit. Monitor patients admitted from the ED, operating room, or trauma admitting area, managing conditions such as traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and poly-trauma cases. Utilize the nursing process to supervise patient groups while applying established policies, communicating openly with supervisors, and interfacing with physicians, residents, and specialized surgical groups. Work within a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists and critical care technicians. Requires current NJ-RN license, BLS certification, and at least one year of acute care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
- Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year or more of RN acute care experience in an inpatient setting is preferred
