Registered Nurse, Trauma Stepdown, Nights - VUH

Collaborate in establishing patient care plans and implement nursing interventions for adult trauma stepdown patients with multi-system injuries, including traumatic brain injury and accidental trauma. Analyze comprehensive patient data to determine nursing diagnoses, evaluate progress toward goals, and apply appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes. Conduct primary care patient interviews and physical examinations while providing patient education on practical applications of moderate difficulty. Coordinate care delivery across the continuum and anticipate resource needs to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Work within a 17-bed unit with a 1:3 or 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, adhering to a 7p–7a shift schedule.
