Job Summary

Provide comprehensive nursing care to trauma and spine patients in an acute care setting. Perform thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and coordinate multidisciplinary care with physicians, surgeons, therapists, and support staff. Deliver pre- and post-operative spine and trauma patient care, monitor neurologic status, pain control, mobility, and potential complications, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Serve as a clinical resource, educate patients and families on diagnoses and procedures, advocate for patient needs, participate in rounds, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, fall and infection prevention, and optimal outcomes. Collaborate with trauma and spine teams, and pursue ongoing specialty training and leadership development. Expect rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7 patient care, in Asheville, NC.
