Job Summary
Provide care to traumatically injured patients on a 23-bed medical surgical/telemetry unit, including those admitted from the ED or downgraded from ICU. Monitor patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, rib fractures, and orthopedic injuries using the nursing process and therapeutic use of self. Follow established policies, communicate openly with supervisors and physicians, and interface well with all staff levels. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including critical care technicians, nurse practitioners, and resident physicians. Requires current NJ-RN license, BLS certification, and at least one year of acute care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
- Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year or more of RN acute care experience in an inpatient setting
