Job Summary
Assess, plan, administer, and evaluate patient care for individuals with psychotic illnesses, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorders, in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatments as prescribed by physicians while providing psychosocial support to patients and their families. Document and report patient progress to the treatment team and provide clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. This 22-bed unit offers an average length of stay between 10 and 14 days. Current Maryland RN licensure and AHA CPR certification are required before employment.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position
- AHA CPR required before first day of employment
- Must hold current registered nurse (RN) licensure to practice in Maryland at the time of appointment and maintain licensure throughout the duration of employment
- Candidates residing in a compact state may apply with a multistate license and must obtain a Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocation
