Registered Nurse Tier 1 OR

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, formulate care plans, and administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed by a Licensed Independent Practitioner. Perform bedside shift reporting using SBAR, mentor students, and orient new staff while ensuring a safe environment for patients and coworkers. Document pertinent findings, participate in discharge planning and transition of care, and serve as a patient advocate by escalating concerns timely. Assist patients with activities of daily living and function as an active team member within the surgical department. Prepare the operative site, position patients, and accompany them to recovery, while monitoring sterile procedures, instrument counts, and specimen preservation. Maintain a productive work environment through cleaning and re-supply duties, adhering to infection control practices and professional code of conduct.
