Job Summary
Registered Nurse position at Thrive Medical Services, LLC, providing direct patient care to adult incarcerated patients at the Doña Ana County Detention Center. Responsibilities include sick call, intake screenings, medication administration, chronic care support, nursing assessments, triage, and clinical interventions within RN scope of practice; administering medications per policies; responding to medical emergencies; documenting in the EMR; supporting MAT services as applicable; adhering to infection control and safety protocols; collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including providers and custody staff; and ensuring compliance with NCCHC, NMAC, and facility policies. Requires an active RN license in New Mexico, 1 year of nursing (correctional, emergency, med-surg, or community health) preferred, and current BLS (ACLS preferred). In-person, 12-hour shifts, with competitive hourly pay and supportive leadership highlighted. The role emphasizes independent practice in a secure correctional environment and teamwork with custody and clinical staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (correctional, emergency, med-surg, or community health experience preferred)
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Strong assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in a secure environment
- Comfortable working in a correctional setting with a diverse patient population
