Job Summary
Provide expert clinical monitoring and stabilization for patients transitioning from anesthesia following surgical procedures in the Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit. Conduct rapid assessments of vital signs, manage airways, and administer acute pain control within a fast-paced environment supporting various surgical specialties. Collaborate closely with anaesthetists and surgical teams to ensure each patient meets strict discharge criteria before returning to the ward or being discharged home. This role requires proven clinical experience within a theatre recovery setting and AHPRA registration. Candidates must work across a 7-day rotating roster including on-call duties. St Andrews Ipswich Private Hospital is a 203-bed acute care facility owned by Ramsay Health Care, offering comprehensive specialized services including emergency care, oncology, and rehabilitation.
Required Qualifications
- Proven clinical experience within a Theatre Recovery
- Relevant registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse
- Minimum three (3) in a Recovery nursing role
- Available to work across a 7-day rotating roster and take part in on call duties
- Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patient
- Exhibits exceptional customer service and time management abilities
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships with others
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
- Ramsay may require proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
