Job Summary
Provide nursing care to inmates/detainees while performing comprehensive physical assessments, evaluating symptoms, and reporting problems to physicians. Securely administer medications, taking precautions against drug hoarding, and provide patient education for chronic illnesses and post-surgical procedures. Supervise the workflow of LPN staff, input performance evaluations, and document all contacts while maintaining medical record confidentiality. Follow industry and company accreditation policies with excellent diagnostic skills and natural empathy. Requires current unrestricted RN license, two years of direct experience, and ability to perform nursing diagnosis without direct supervision. Pay is $48.00/Hr.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree from an approved program; graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current, unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse in the state the facility is located
- Maintain a current copy of license on file at the facility at all times
- Two (2) years of direct work experience, preferred
- Ability to provide the following services: crisis intervention, medical emergencies, physical assessment, medical nursing care and psychiatric nursing care
- Ability to perform nursing diagnosis and appropriate follow through treatment without direct supervision
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older
- Frequently: Lift or carry and push/pull up to 40 lbs.
- Occasionally: Lift or carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs.
