Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation, coordination, and collaboration while setting priorities to manage time, supplies, and resources. Collaboratively develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and physicians, including education and referrals. Evaluate patient response to interventions and revise plans as clinical outcomes and satisfaction indicate. Provide accurate, timely documentation and ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. Perform physical assessments of physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive and developmental skills. Manage patient transfers, ambulation, and equipment navigation in busy hospital environments. Operate monitors and manipulate complex medical equipment with precision.

Required Qualifications

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
Degree will be verified
Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
