Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for telemetry units using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct the care team through delegation, coordinate patient care delivery by managing time and resources, and revise plans based on clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Provide accurate documentation, ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, and maintain BLS certification while adhering to Intermountain Health policies. Shifts run 7p-7:30 am with weekly hours of 36.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to set priorities and to coordinate and organize patient care delivery through effectively managing time, supplies, and resources
- Must be able to provide accurate & timely documentation
- Must understand legal implications of care delivery
