Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practice. Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, families, and support staff, while delegating tasks and managing time and resources. Direct the care team through collaboration and set priorities to ensure effective patient care delivery. Evaluate patient responses to interventions, revise care plans as needed, and provide accurate documentation. Maintain legal and ethical standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and ensure timely updates to patient records.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
