Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of physical, social, and psychological patient status, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans. Direct care delivery through delegation and coordination while managing time, supplies, and resources to meet patient goals. Evaluate patient responses to interventions, revise care plans as needed, and ensure accurate, timely documentation of all activities. Maintain legal and ethical standards within scope of licensure while promoting professional development. Requires current Registered Nurse license, BLS certification, and strong manual dexterity for equipment manipulation and patient transfers. Shift runs 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with 36 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
