Job Summary
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret clinical changes for adult patients with congestive heart failure, chest pain, and respiratory conditions requiring continuous telemetry. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans for moderate to high acuity needs while educating patients and families on treatment and discharge instructions. Manage rapid patient turnover as admissions primarily flow from the emergency department, with transfers to higher levels of care occurring for approximately 50% of cases. This role offers a steppingstone toward stepdown or critical care pathways in a supportive, close-knit unit environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
