Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and clinical changes for adult patients with acute conditions such as congestive heart failure, chest pain, and high oxygen support needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans for moderate to high acuity patients while educating families on treatment and discharge instructions. Manage rapid patient turnover in a telemetry setting with approximately 50% discharge to home or skilled facilities and 50% transfer to higher levels of care. This role serves as an ideal steppingstone for nurses seeking advanced clinical skills in stepdown or critical care pathways within a supportive, close-knit unit environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
