Job Summary
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and clinical changes for adult patients with congestive heart failure, chest pain, or respiratory conditions requiring continuous telemetry. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans for moderate to high acuity needs while educating patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions. Manage overflow surgical cardiac patients and adapt to rapid turnover with short stays. This role serves as a steppingstone toward stepdown or critical care pathways, offering exposure to stepdown-level acuity without ICU pressure in a supportive, close-knit unit.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
