Job Summary
Deliver whānau-centred primary care in Invercargill, managing 2,007 enrolled patients with a focus on equity and community wellbeing. Provide clinical services including authorised vaccinations and smear testing, while applying knowledge of socio-economic health determinants to improve outcomes. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising health coaches and practitioners to support patient health and address health equity. Maintain current Annual Practising and CPR certificates, and work within a supportive environment that prioritises staff wellbeing and cultural competence.
Required Qualifications
- Strong cultural confidence and competence, with whānau at the centre of care
- An understanding of the socio-economic and cultural determinants of health
- A self-motivated, independent approach, alongside a genuine love of teamwork
- In-depth knowledge of, and passion for, primary health care
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- CPR certificate
- Prior experience with Medtech Evolution
- Trained in Australasian Triage Scale
- Current Authorised Vaccinator and Smear Taker certificates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be legally able to work in New Zealand
- Hold a full New Zealand driver licence
- Be willing to undergo pre-employment screening
- Complete and return a clear Police Vetting check
